Start with the trip, then choose the hotel
Before searching, write down your check-in and check-out dates, your group size and the amount you can spend on the whole stay. Include transport in that budget. A room farther from the event may work well if you can reliably get back after it finishes.
Check event details and travel arrangements with the official organizers and transport operators. A place that looks close on a map can still be an awkward journey.
Build a short list you would actually book
Search Hotelert for your destination or preferred property with the dates and guests you need. Compare the available options and keep a short list of hotels that fit your trip. If an unavailable hotel offers the Get Alert option, create an availability alert.
Watching more than one suitable hotel gives you alternatives. Do not assume that an unavailable result means every room in the city is gone; it reflects the inventory returned for that search.
Treat an alert as a reason to check
Hotelert checks monitored availability and sends an email when it detects a room opening. An alert does not reserve a room or guarantee that the offer will remain available.
Open the booking provider, confirm the dates and guest count, and check the final total and cancellation conditions. Finish the booking there if it suits you. Availability and prices can change before you complete that step.
Keep a workable backup
If you already hold another reservation, check its cancellation deadline before changing plans. Wait for confirmation of the replacement booking before canceling a backup you still need.
The aim is a hotel that works for your trip, not an endless search for a perfect deal. Once you are satisfied with a confirmed booking, remove alerts you no longer need.
