Make sure the stay matches your plans

An availability alert is the start of a booking decision. On the provider website, check the property name, location, check-in date and check-out date. Then check the room type and the number of adults and children allowed.

If you searched for more than one room, check how guests are allocated. A listing that works for two adults may not fit a whole family.

Look at the total, not just the headline

Read the final amount for the full stay and the currency you will pay in. Check any taxes, fees, meals or other extras shown by the provider. Decide whether the complete offer fits your budget.

Hotelert monitors availability. An opening does not necessarily mean a discount, and a price displayed earlier may change.

Read the cancellation conditions

Check whether payment is due now or later, whether cancellation is permitted, and which deadline and time zone apply. Save the terms you agree to along with your booking confirmation.

If you are replacing a backup booking, compare both sets of conditions. Avoid canceling accommodation you still need before the new booking is confirmed.

Complete the booking with the provider

Follow the provider’s checkout steps and look for its confirmation. Clicking a link in Hotelert does not complete a reservation. Contact the provider directly if payment or confirmation is unclear.

Once the trip is sorted, delete alerts you no longer need from My Alerts. If an alert helped you book, we would love to hear your story.
